Vinification: Made from Moscato grapes left to macerate in terracotta amphorae for 90 days with the cap submerged.

Aging: Once unscrewed,the wine is returned to the same amphorae,where it continues to age for a year.

Alc.: 11%vol. 

Allergens: Contains sulfites

Serving temperature: 12-14°C

Pairings: Seasoned and herbal cheeses, white and volatile meat,structured seafood starters and dishes.

Tasting Notes: Despite the lengthy maceration, the wine has a pale orange color.The typical Moscato notes remain more floral than fruity,resulting in a complex yet agile palate.

Cascina Elena is a young artisanal winery founded between 2020 and 2021 in Rocchetta Belbo,in the heart of the Alta Langa hills.The project was born from the meeting of Filippo, originally from Rome with winemaking experience in Tuscany,and the New Yorkers Peter and Elaine,who found a new home among these peaceful vineyards.

The estate sits at about 500 meters above sea level, surrounded by old Moscato vines, new plantings,and pristine nature.Their philosophy is rooted in deep respect for the land: organic farming,minimal intervention in the cellar,and an environmentally conscious architectural design using natural materials, solar panels, and rainwater recovery systems.

Cascina Elena crafts wines that express the Alta Langa in its purest form and regularly  welcomes visitors for tastings,events,and community gatherings,keeping alive the convivial spirit at the heart of the project.
