Giostra

Giostra is an independent wine project created by Michele Saia,born from the desire to reveal the hidden potential of Molise – a small,often overlooked region rich in native grape varieties and agricultural heritage.The winery works as a traveling,research‑driven cellar,sourcing organic grapes from local farmers,especially Tintilia,Falanghina,and Trebbiano Toscano,grown at high altitudes and farmed using only copper,sulfur, and organic‑approved treatments.

Winemaking follows a natural, low‑intervention philosophy:spontaneous fermentations,no added sulfites at any stage, and no filtration or fining.The first vintages were produced in Abruzzo in collaboration with like‑minded producers,while the project continues to evolve with the aim of becoming increasingly rooted in Molise.Giostra expresses the region’s authentic, mountainous character through pure,vibrant, and deeply territorial wines.
