Collecapretta
Collecapretta is a tiny family-run farm and winery located in Terzo la Pieve,a secluded hamlet in the hills above Spoleto,Umbria. The Mattioli family has lived and farmed here for centuries, with roots tracing back to the 1100s.Today,Vittorio Mattioli, together with his wife Anna and their daughter Annalisa, manages a mixed farm that includes vineyards, olive trees, ancient grains, and small livestock.

The vineyards sit between 400 and 550 meters above sea level and feature local varieties such as Trebbiano,Sangiovese, and Grechetto, along with small plantings of Barbera and Merlot.Their approach is deeply traditional and nature‑driven:no herbicides, pesticides,or chemical treatments, only full respect for natural rhythms.Production is tiny — just a few thousand bottles per year — but intensely expressive, offering wines that capture the character of the land, the altitude, and the family’s long-standing heritage.
